The Panchatantra is a compilation of fables which are part of the folklore from ancient India. According to historians, it was composed around 3rd century BC. Pandit Vishnu Sharma was the author who is believed to have composed the stories of Panchatantra. The original book was written in Sanskrit; which is an ancient language from India. Many authors have translated this book in Hindi, English and in several other languages.

We have tried to rephrase these stories in as simple language as possible. You may find some minor variations from the original stories. While rephrasing these stories, we have tried to keep the language contemporary as well so that the modern day children can easily correlate with them. Suggestions and feedbacks are always welcome.
