Aesop's Fables

The Sheep, The Goat And The Chicken

A farmer was going on his cart from market to his farm. He had purchased a sheep, a goat and a chicken. The sheep and the goat were enjoying their ride and were bleating endlessly as if chattering their time away. On the other hand, the chicken was crowing as if it had all the worries in the world. The chicken’s behaviour annoyed the sheep and the goat. They asked why the chicken was not enjoying the journey as they did. The chicken said, “This farmer is taking the sheep for wool and the goat for milk. But I am sure the farmer is going to kill me for dinner when he reaches home”. An occasion can never be same for each person.
