Parallel Lines

Parallel Lines: Two lines are said to be parallel if they do not meet even if they are extended infinitely. When a transversal intersects two parallel lines, different types of angles are made. Properties of such angles are given below.

• Corresponding angles are equal
• Alternate angles are equal
• Internal angles on one side of transversal are supplementary, i.e. they add up to 180°
